DRUG CRIME

Gary Kaufman has represented thousands of people charged with drug crimes.  Mr. Kaufman has successfully had drug cases dismissed after the evidence recovered from his clients were suppressed and has received an acquittal for a client who was accused of selling drugs.  Mr. Kaufman is especially skilled in the advocating for his clients to be placed in drug programs or other forms of alternatives to incarceration for these offenses.  While working at Staten Island Legal Defense Services, Mr. Kaufman was designated as the point person for Rockefeller Drug Law Reform and has taught other criminal defense lawyers about these laws in continuing legal education.
