Felony Assault Acquittal

Mr. Kaufman’s client was found not guilty of Felony Assault after a lengthy jury, where she was facing a maximum penalty of seven years based on allegation that she assaulted a friend with the intent to cause serious physical injury after the friend lost all sight in her eye.  Mr. Kaufman’s client was only convicted of the lesser-included offense of misdemeanor assault which carries a maximum penalty of one year in city jail.
