Hobbs Act Robbery Sentence
Mr. Kaufman’s client, in the Eastern District of New York, was sentenced below the Federal Sentencing Guidelines to a term of incarceration of seven years, for an offense that, at the time of arrest, initially had a statutory mandatory minimum sentence of twenty-five years. Mr. Kaufman prepared a detailed sentencing memorandum, which included a psychiatric evaluation, to explain the client’s complex background to the sentencing judge.
